Social work is a professional discipline that seeks to enhance the welfare/wellness of individuals, families, groups and communities.
At Tui, our focus is on developing and maintaining wellness in partnership with you and your family/whanau in a holistic and empowering manner.
We provide a safe place for those experiencing a variety of issues to speak confidentially about their experiences and work together with our service to find ways to move forward.
We work alongside patients who are experiencing distress related to life experiences such as:
• Family violence • Stress • New or traumatic diagnosis • Grief and loss
• Crisis events • Anxiety/depression • Elder abuse • Isolation • Caregiver stress
• Lack of resources etc
As we work together we can offer advocacy, problem-solving strategies, linkage and referrals to appropriate community services to assist you to enhance your wellness.
The Social Work service is based at the Te Rapa Clinic.
