Our Women’s Health Clinic provides compassionate, professional care for women from adolescence through to menopause and beyond. We focus on prevention, early detection, and empowering you to make informed decisions about your health.
What We Do
Our clinic is procedures-focused, supporting women with contraception, bleeding control, menopause care, and minor diagnostic procedures.
Our services include:
Contraception – insertion and removal of IUCDs (copper or Mirena) and Jadelle implants.
Bleeding disorders & symptom management – support for conditions such as endometriosis, adenomyosis, PCOS, perimenopause.
Menopause support – including adjunctive options for HRT (note: your GP provides initial.
HRT care and prescriptions for Mirena if required).
Diagnostics & minor procedures – pipelle or punch biopsies, cervical polyp removal, histology testing for lichen sclerosus.
Cervical screening & sexual health checks – smears, STI testing, recurrent infection management.
Referrals – to colposcopy clinic, pelvic health physiotherapy, continence nurse services if further specialist input is needed.

When to seek help
You may benefit from booking an appointment with our Women’s Health Clinic if you:
Need IUCD or Jadelle insertion or removal.
Experience heavy or irregular bleeding linked to PCOS, endometriosis, adenomyosis, or perimenopause.
Require cervical screening, STI testing, or management of recurrent vaginal infections.
Want advice around contraception or menopause (in partnership with your GP).

Every second Thursday, 8:00am – 4:30pm
Our services include:
Booking – You can book directly for procedures (IUCDs, Jadelle). No referral required.
Appointment types – Standard appointments are 30 minutes; double appointments (1 hour) are needed for multiple procedures (e.g. Jadelle removal + IUCD insertion).
Costs – Some funding may be available depending on your situation.
Standard procedure costs: $150 (+$5 prescription fee for Mirena).
Consultation costs are the same as, or slightly higher than, a GP visit depending on time required.
Our Women’s Health Clinic is led by Nurse Practitioner Virginia Willis, supported by Medical Assistant Diana Wharepapa. Virginia brings over 30 years of experience in primary health care and women’s health, with certifications in IUCD and Jadelle procedures and minor surgery.
Occasionally, we train other nurses and doctors to expand our services. In future, we hope to also offer a pessary clinic.
Currently, only female clinicians provide women’s health services.
